Did not reinstall a part on the CZ Shadow 2 Orange. Is this ok?

Noticed after I reassembled the gun that I did not put the right hand side safety detent plunger. (This part https://cajungunworks.com/product/safety-detent-right-hand-for-cz-tactical-sport/)
Is this necessary? Everything seems to be functioning fine. Thanks for any help.

I don't own shadow 2 but have a TSO and that part is what holds the right side safety lever on the frame.  I would pull it apart again and make sure you get it installed.  A small dab of grease will hold it in place when installing the sear cage.

Last time I checked, all the parts were necessary. Take it apart and put it back together correctly. It's not like you have to rebuild a decocker sear cage. . .(been there done that).

That part is necessary or else the right safety lever doesn’t have anything pushing it forward to keep it in place.

Gotcha. Thanks for the replies. I was hoping it wasn't necessary as 1911/2011's only have them on one side and they hold. I was hoping it was a little overkill as the CZ has them on both sides. The safety clicks and holds like it should with only the left side installed. Definitely rather be safe than sorry though.

   Without the right side Safety insert installed, the right side safety lever will eventually fall out of the pistols frame. I have witnessed this happen personally on two separate occasions at the range.

Look at it this way. Taking apart CZs is fun, so you get to have more fun.

Put it back in unless you’re not very attached to your right side thumb safety.
