When did this roll mark start? Any significance?

in 1993,  after split of the Czechoslovakia into the independent countries of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Significance? Not for firearms. Definitely for people living there.

I’m referring to the addition of CZ on the end, after Czech Republic.

OK. I'm sorry for confusion.  I don't quite understand what did you mean...

He is reffering to new "made in" roll mark.
They started it recently, all '21 guns have it, and maybe later production '20

My 2020 retro has the CZ mark on the frame, but my 2019 CZ's do not. I would guess it started in the later half of 2020.

Exactly, Thanks Timmy75, I was having a hard time trying to put it in words. Sorry for the confusion jurek, I should have posted pics when I asked...

I noticed it on a 2020 compact of mine, so I searched. Found a boatload of pics of it, but they ALL had the circle CZ logo stamped to the left of it, as does timmy75's pic. Mine does not...I finally uploaded a pic...

Interesting. I have a 2020 made compact that does not have the new roll mark but both my 2021 made PCR's have it.

Don't you think it may depends on the factory they make the frame in?

I think CZ's metal frames are all done in the same place. The guns all had the same roll mark for many moons until recently. I suspect it's just a rolling change in the script and we'll be seeing it on all the guns going forward.

It might be a simple marketing reason for that change.
Definitely such move can bring more attention to potential buyers.
Easy way to make the money  ;D

Probably has more to do with the old tooling coming due for replacement than anything.
