Problem with slide stop

I recently bought a Kadet 2 kit from a member here. I was very pleased with the ease of installation without having to do any fitting. But I am having a problem with the slide stop.

I installed the kit on a PCR. With the PCR slide stop installed the slide locks back on an empty magazine but it is catching on the mag and not the slide stop. With the Kadet slide stop installed it does not lock the slide back on an empty mag. I am sure that there is a fix for this but I don't know what it is. Do any of you guys know what the fix might be?

When you say: "With the PCR slide stop installed" are you referring to the OEM Slide Stop from your PCR, or the "PCR" Slide Stop that came with the KADET Kit ?
If it's the Stop that comes with the Kit, try using the OEM Slide Stop from your PCR, not the "PCR" Stop from the Kit, see if that helps

When mounting my KADET on my two Lowers, I always use the Slide Stop that came with that particular Pistol

With the slide stop from my PCR the slide locks back on the mag instead of the stop. With one of the 2 slide stops that came with the Kadet kit the slide does not lock back on an empty mag. With the other slide stop that came with the kit the slide hangs up and won't open or fully close.

To work correctly, the slide stop should interact with the follower in the mag.  If you assemble the gun without the slide you can look down from the top to see which slide stop best meets the follower.

What part of the Magazine is catching on the Bolt / Slide, the Follower or the Feedlips ?

With one of the 2 slide stops that came with the Kadet kit the slide does not lock back on an empty mag.

Most likely, this one is the longer of the two, meant for use on you PCR
Try the test Wagwan suggested and see if the Stop and the Follower engauge
Your Slide Stop Spring could be too firm, keeping the Mag Spring from lifting the Follower enough to catch the Bolt
That can be fixed

This Stop is meant for use with your basic (Steel Framed) 75 Variant and will not work with the PCR / KADET combo at all

Thanks for the replies.

When I tested it by manually pulling the slide back it would not hold open on an empty mag. Today I actually fired it and it works fine.

I am extremely happy with the Kadet kit. Now I can afford to shoot my PCR more.
