Short reset qquestions for the experts
« on: November 14, 2021, 03:56:41 PM »

Gang,

What is responsible for the short resest? Is it a single part i.e. the “lifter,” disconnector, or something else?

Just how short is short? What is a typical reset before and after improvement?

What difference does a different hammer make?

Finally, which guns offer the shortest reset? Pre B ? And Why.

Thanks for the insight and education.

Dave

Hi Dave,

You are asking some questions that I am also wondering about... I recently bought two 75 series after owning a P10F striker-fired and I also plan on working on the triggers.
Most of the videos I have watched focus on how much lighter and smoother the trigger pull is after polishing and parts replacement, a gauge is used to measure the before/after pounds required... That is good unto itself, but I am wondering about how the upgrades translate to increased accuracy? I would like to see the results of a target shot prior and after the work has been done to the pistol.

This video (about 60 seconds in) shows the shortest trigger reset I have seen on a CZ. The work was done by a gunsmith in Las Vegas.

That is crazy short, think it is SAO. I am just curious to further my CZ knowledge.
