Anyone compared the shape of these triggers to each other, what makes the one short reach?

The Short Reach 85 Combat Trigger has more material where the Trigger contacts the frame when the Trigger is fully forward. This limits the forward travel, moving the at rest DA trigger position rearward. It is designed to work with the other CZC Short Reach Kit parts.

The 85 Combat Trigger is a normal DA/SA Trigger with a popular profile.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

The other 85 old style trigger says gunsmith fit with no overtravel screw…so I figured they added material to the front to make up for not haveing a screw.but actually the short reach trigger has the modification to the front and the other is just a standard old style 85c ?
