New CZ 75 B Omega
« on: January 01, 2022, 07:52:23 PM »
Hi all
Finally picked up a new CZ 75B Omega. Ran a hundred or so rounds downrange the other day no problems. I like to mix 2 or 3 brands of ammo in the mags as it builds my confidence in the gun.
I have owned a couple old CZ C&R guns and a Tanfoglio 9mm full size steel gun I wish I still had.
Currently it has the decocker and I'll see how I like it this way. I have done a bit research and plan to go with a 13 pound hammer spring and do a fair bit of polishing on all parts that create friction.
It's a start, I'll see how it goes after the polish job.
It's not for carry I have that covered.
Regards
Mike

Congrats on CZ75B Omega.  :)
You will like it even more after the job you have planned to be done on it.

Looks like I need to get on my computer to post pics.
I'll try to get it done.

Have 2 Omega P-01s and a 97 BD.  Looking hard at the 75 Omega.  Especially like it for a match gun where I shoot DA/SA.  The DA shots are all good, about shot 3 or 4 is where I screw up.

Good luck on the project. Hope you like yours as much as I do mine.

I used to see the Urban Gray CZ75 Omegas and would admire them without picking them up.  I was so afraid that if I picked it up, I'd buy it and I just didn't need another pistol I wasn't going to carry.

I carried the Urban Gray P01 Omega for a few months before making a house gun out of it.  I love the look.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I picked up the CGW omega kit 75700
It's going together no problem, I have blue & natural sear spring
Can anyone give me a idea of the difference and what to
Expect from each spring?
It's my next part to install.
Polishing here and there as I go.
Thanks

Used the natural color spring.
All in all pretty easy job with YouTube.
Noticeable improvements.

Never knew about the "convertible". DOH !  the CZ 75 Omega was discontinued in 2015...

https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-b-%CF%89-convertible-omega/

comes with competition hammer. Looks like it probably has a nice trigger action right out of the box. Looks like an 85 C trigger also.
Comes with the longer beaver tail unlike the basic 75B or 85C..

I like it better than most 9mm I have had.
Can anyone suggest which aftermarket grips feel like the stock grips which I like pretty good ?
