Buying a CZC SP-01 Orange, but don't care for the orange
« on: January 19, 2022, 12:20:10 PM »
I'm buying this:

and would like to replace the orange grips and magazine base pads with a more subtle color scheme. Looking at LOK grips page and can't tell if the Shadow 2 is the exact same or not. If not, could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Shadow 2 grips will work, but they are thinner at the top(some prefer these). For the SP01 Shadow, the direct fit is the same as the CZ75.

Let it be known that allot of folks really like the Orange grips and base plates, it  is likely to be an easy sale if you wish to part with them.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

There are a number of companies that make grips and base pads in a wide range of colors.  I replaced my orange grips with blue ones from Armanov, they make about 5 different colors.
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll look into LOK for the grips. Anything I need to know about the base pads? Some seem to have a spring and added capacity, but I just want to replace what's there currently. Thanks again!

Armory Craft is my go-to for anodized grips and base pads.  Stock fluctuates, but if you sign up for notifications you should be able to get whatever you need.

At one time I had this same gun and had the same feelings about the orange bling.

I replaced the grips w/LOK grips and bought 3 new Mec-Gar mags from Greg Cote LLC

Just sayin'

The Shadow 2 is by far the finest, best-feeling 9mm handgun I've handled. Looking at gunbroker, I don't understand why the blue-gripped models are $1,200-$1,500 and the orange-gripped models are $2,000-$2,200

LOL! I've seen entire cars painted A&M orange!

It's not just a color difference. Think of the Orange as an upgraded version of the blue and urban grey. The blue (91257) and grey (91255) are the same guns other than colors. However, the Orange (91249) includes some hand fitting and polishing  and also an addition of a bushing.

If you order from Cesar-Shop.com then the same products are almost always in stock and at much cheaper prices. Shipping is about one week though coming from Slovenia's capital city.
