Ian McCollum Interview at CZ
« on: January 22, 2022, 07:28:34 AM »
Hey guys, for those who do not have Facebook or Instagram I would like to share with you a unique opportunity I had this month. Hope I don't break any rules.

We had Ian McCollum from Forgotten Weapons visiting CZ factory in Uherský Brod and I managed to talk to him about Czech and Czechoslovak guns...

If you were interested, the video is available below. I must say that he surprised me with some answers.... not to speak about this being dream come true!  8)

Nice interview. Thanks. It was fun to see him at the Patron meetup in Prague.

Seconding Psyop96, yes, nice interview! What a compliment to you and your channel, to have Ian McCollum say he learned a lot from you.

good video, glad you posted here.

I didn't catch the comment - what is the essential beverage he had to try that foreigners don't like?

It is Kofola.... it was supposed to be a replacement of Coca Cola during the commie era, but it is actually different and very good IMO...

I was expecting some type of distilled spirit. I don't know if the Czechs even have an answer to the Swedish Malort (a wormwood-flavored digestif).

Nice video! I visited Czechoslovakia by bicycle in the late 1970s, but completely missed out on the firearm angle. I would love to return someday and bask in the CZ culture!  :D
