Kadet II discontinued
« on: February 08, 2022, 07:42:18 PM »
Was on the CZ USA site today and looked for a Kadet Kit for an SP01 and ran across the Kadet II and there was a notice that it is being discontinued this year.   Very sad as this versatility of being able to shoot multiple calibers off a single frame is one of the reasons I like the CZs over other platforms. Hope they are coming out with a Kadet III that has polymer mags.

This is beginning to look like the end of an era.

Very sad turn of events
Just visited CZ-USA "CZ Pistols"
Seems that every other listing was for some variation of the P-10
One has to wonder if Polymer isn't the direction they are going now
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Is there a difference in the .22 LR conversion units between the Kadet and the Kadet II?  This is for the CZ75 pistol.  Thanks

Yes, the main difference is a wider groove on the underside of the Kadet II slide to accommodate the Omega trigger group.  The original Kadet will not work on Omega guns.

Thanks for the reply.

Are the .22 LR magazines interchangeable between the Kadet and Kadet II?

This is sad news considering that I've been looking for a kadet kit for a while now.

Man, CZ is cancelling a lot  of good pistols lately. SP-01 phantom, CZ-97 and now the Kadet kit. This is going to make the Kadet kit even more harder to find now, sadly.

During his Prague beer meet up, Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons interestingly mentioned in response to a question that CZ didn’t want him shooting video of some of their forge/casting operations because they felt it was outdated and in the process of being updated. I wonder if that is impacting production capacity and resulting in discontinuation of some less high-profile products. I do recall reading somewhere that CZ had record unit production during even the first year of the pandemic but that probably included a portion of the sizable military contract in early Spring.

Well this is a bummer, been awhile since I've come on this forum and I come to find out the Kadet has been discontinued. Blah! I ordered spare mags, springs and what I could find to maintain my Kadet. Thanks for the heads up.

Is there any big dollar difference between the Kadet and Kadet II .22 LR conversions units for the CZ 75?

Just got off phone with CZ USA. This is definitely true- Kadet II discontinued. However, he said the SP01 22 conversion kit was still in production. If that matters to you [it did for me].

I just picked up a couple of mags on gunbroker--spendy.

What else did you pick up...and where? I want to make sure I can keep it running too.

Thanks

BUMMER!!!

I've been loving my Kadet II since I found it a year ago (??). Good to hear that the SP 01 .22 conversion is available. That may become the next quest. Regardless, I consider my 75B SA Kadet II a classic.

Cheers,
Peter

I bought some recoil springs, two kadet magazine springs and a spare Kadet slide stop from Numrich Gun Parts but it looks like all that is sold out now.

Some extra mags and what I could find direct from CZ but that's cleared out as well.

Bought an extra Kadet firing pin and some Kadet firing pin springs from CZ Custom.

As soon as I saw this post I bought what I could find and it looks like everyone else is doing the same.
