For sure not forgotten (in production and in active service), but it completes the CZ Bren story almost up to the present day.

It was interesting to see the two sprung counterweights in the bolt carrier, only on the military full-auto gun, to prevent bolt bounce. I believe I read on one of these forums that the weights are made of Tungsten, which is a lot heavier than steel.

Since we haven’t heard of the full-auto Bren 2s having any of the extraction / ejection issues that plague the semi-auto x39 version, I’m wondering if a full-auto bolt carrier with such weights installed  would help correct those issues on the semi-auto guns…oddly, the full-auto weights (only) are for sale at CZ USA, unlike a lot of other critical function parts for the semi-auto version, such as the gas tube, which can be modified by drilling a smaller gas port to correct its cycling problems.

I regret that I haven't had a chance to watch Ian's take on CZ firearms yet, but I certainly appreciate that CZ invited him in!
