Cz75 milsurp spring/pin replacement
« on: March 21, 2022, 05:40:00 PM »
Planning to detail strip a couple pre-B CZ75s.  I’ve been looking on the forum and on CGW, but wanted to ask the experts - what is in your “shopping cart” for replacing old springs?

So far I plan on:
Wolff recoil spring
Wolff hammer spring
CGW
 Sear spring

I can’t find a standard trigger return spring on the CGW site.

Was going to avoid the extractor spring unless I have an issue since CGW recommends staking it and I don’t have experience with that.

Any other recommendations?

Thanks

I'd at minimum look at the extractor spring and clean the channel.  Staking the pin is really straight forward.  Just seat the pin slightly below flush (on the internal side of slide) and deform a small portion of the hole over the pin.  Doesn't need to be much just enough to prevent it from walking out (toward the internal action).

I'd also look at the firing pin spring, channel, and firing pin along with the firing pin retaining pin.  Look for any corrosion and gunk buildup.  Just need the firing pin spring and retaining pin if you are looking to replace wear parts.

Cheers,
Toby

Just saw this- thanks.  Having quite a time getting the extractor pin out, as well as the trigger pin.
