Well I'll be jiggered, I just checked mine and it's recessed. Had NO idea about those different slides. Going to be interesting when someone in the know answers you.

Hard to see in the pictures I posted,, But looking at the rolled pin in the slide, just in front of the rear sight.
On the recessed slide, the "rounded top" comes all the way down to the pin.
On the flat sided slide,, the rounded top is well above the pin,, meaning the flat sided slide has a "flatter" top,, better to mill and mount a red dot.

Huh,  I was aware of the different slides for the 40p and the reasoning for that but I have never heard of this on a Rami.  My 08 Rami BD is a recessed slide.  It also doesn't have a recessed area for the controls in the frame as these safety models seem to have.  The frame is smooth on both sides.

Cheers,
Toby

My bd is as you describe yours, it must be a difference between the bd and the safety models. The bd looks better.

The pics I’ve seen, every one of the decockers have the recessed / scalloped slide, while the safety models are a mix of straight and recessed slides.

Not sure how the flat sided slide would be better, my "recessed" slide is milled for an RMR and it fits just fine without a plate. The recessed slide is plenty wide where it needs to be, just like the Phantom slide. These two are the only 75 series platforms that allow direct milling for the RMR footprint.

As I understand it, '03-'04 have flat sided slides with front serrations.  Later models have scalloped slides.
