Milling a P-01 slide for red dot (reflex)

I will be having a P-01 slide milled for a Holosun 407K/507K (RMSc footprint)
I am spoiled by the 100% co-witness with factory sights on my OSP hellcat (see picture), and would like to replicate that on the P-01.
What is the deepest a P-01 slide can be milled?
Does the depth matter how far forward or back the cut is on the slide?
Does one vendor mill deeper than others?
if the optic cut is back so it takes away the factory rear dovetail,, is there enough room to cut a new dovetail farther back ?
Has anyone had a Holosun 407K/507K mounted low enough to co-witness the factory irons?

Best to contact the vendor. I have had things done on several CZ and both CZcustom and Cajun Gun works can tell you what they can and can't do. Some of your questions are a matter of them knowing what you are looking for. IE on my comp gun I had it milled farther back and no co-witness but did have the option.

I would go with “Wager Machine works” you will get the most depth and a true co-witnesses I shopped around a lot after a bad experience (see below)  and they offer the most depth. Fantastic customer service, crazy fast turnaround time, and excellent pricing. For coating I went with the blueing of only cut area and it turned out superbly.

Fair warning,  I had 3 CZ SP01’s milled for 507k’s by another well known company (their other work is great, and would still recommend for other things) and was not at all happy with the milling, no real co-witness and minimal depth on my 3 examples despite them trying to tell me otherwise. I also had a very fair and balanced review on their site stating this, and they removed it.

Follow up thoughts:

I can post a picture of my SP01 later. Wager Machine works’ Instagram and website will have better pictures, notice how close they get to the firing pin retaining hole, pretty much as deep as you would want to go without milling into that channel. Their milling does require shortening the extractor retaining pin. Just to make sure I wasn’t going to have to worry about breaking the pin if i needed to replace the extractor I sent my slide to wager machine works with Cajun gun works hardened steel extractor retaining pin (they are pretty cheap) and they shortened the pin and re-installed the extractor as part of the service.

Stuart at CZ Custom milled the slides of my PCR and SP-01 Tactical for the 507K. The stock front sight lines up perfectly with the rear sight that is built into the body of the holosun RDS.

I would rather promote 'Wager Machine Works' as a better alternative for CZ75/P01/SP01 + holosun k footprint milling than make this about a negative experience I had with a poorly executed product from an otherwise decent company.

I've heard nothing but good things about Wager and am about to send my own P-01 slide to them for a 407k cut.
