Maybe the final video on the CZ Bren series (unless Ian can film the PPS), this is the .308 Bren 2 BR:

Well, that’s all well and good, except for the fact that CZ still hasn’t fixed the 7.62x39 semi auto guns in this country, 3 years on. So why would I trust the BR, even if CZ had enough sense to sell these in the US (which apparently they have no plans to do anyway)?

Of course, if CZ DID have any sense, they’d have already fixed the x39 guns a long time ago, chambered the Bren 2 in 6.5 Grendel (and 6.5 Creedmoore in the case of the BR) and moved all operations down to Arkansas, including Colt.

Hoping CZ will pull its head out of its own ass some day.

I spoke to a guy at CZ last week and asked for an update.  He told me that CZ is sending new gas tubes to solve the problem.  The new gas tubes are on the way for the 14" barrel and 9" barrel, but the 11" barrel ones have not left yet.  I was thinking that this is great news as they'd just send me one, I'd install it and cross my fingers that the problem would be solved.  Not so fast.  He said that you have to send in the gun.  I asked why and he said that they want to verify that nothing else is wrong with it and it's a liability issue.  So, he pointed me to a page on their website.  I entered my information.  Now I'm waiting for further instructions and a call tag.  Since mine's an SBR, there is apparently an additional form that I have to send to the ATF that has to be approved.

Well, you could always send your gas tube to HBI to have the correct-sized gas port drilled in position #3. But then you risk having the shipper lose your gas tube in transit and end up SOL with a non-functioning gun and no access to a spare.

7.62x39 gas tubes aren’t even listed on CZ’s (kludgy) Webstore, so you can’t even sign up to be notified when they come into stock.

It’s a cluster f¥€£…
