RAMI with RRK and cut down 11.5 Hammer Spring
« on: April 14, 2022, 10:28:17 AM »
Anyone running this combo? Currently I have the RRK and extended FP along with the 13lb hammer
spring with coils cut as offered by CGW for the RAMI. Thinking of trying 11.5 also minus coils cut. Thx

I have a cut down 11.5lb in my Rami D, otherwise same set up as yours. So far, it's worked fine for me through quite a bit of practice and 3 or 4 IDPA BUG matches. I do use federal ammo and primers, so that could be a factor. I'm considering going to a non-rrk disco since the reach reduction doesn't help from the half-cocked hammer position.

Thanks Earl. I tried the RRK disco with the cut down 11.5 hammer spring and could tell very little difference between it and the 13. I then swapped back in the factory disconnector with the 11.5, and like the longer smoother trigger pull much better that has a more predictable break, with less disturbance of my sights. I also have the CZC competition hammer on this one. I'll proof at the range but fairly certain this is the best set up for me.
