Pro package in sp01 shadow
« on: April 16, 2022, 04:59:46 PM »
Got another sp01 shadow. First one was done by Cz custom and is awesome.this one I’m going to put in Cajun gunworks pro package after some polishing. I kinda like the thick stock hammer has anyone put in a pro package with the stock hammer? Was it any good? Or will the Cajun race hammer just make for a lighter single action trigger pull.

If you are talking about the CZC Wide Comp hammer it isn't a std oem hammer. The break of the Cajun hammer will be a bit more crisp and possibly a tiny bit heavier with the same spring. The difference is only noticeable during slow fire or when comparing side by side. It comes down to a matter of preference.

Like Earl mentioned, if the first one was a CZ SP01 shadow from CZ custom then it likely came with a CZ custom competition hammer.

Not completely the same, but I recently installed 3 standard manual safety SP01’s with CGW’s complete spring kit + firing pin + floating trigger pin with some polishing. I was super happy with the results even with the stock trigger and hammer. So I would recommend trying that first if you are looking to save money, plus the install will be far easier without having to worry about removing and reinstalling the hammer pins. Since the CZC SP01 Shadow does not have a FPB (to my knowledge) your results will likely be better.

The CGW trigger, hammer, and sear will mostly affect the reset, trigger reach, and trigger break while the springs and polishing will get you the most trigger pull weight reduction, in my understanding.

I’ve put a pro package in several of my cz’s and have been pleased with the results.. I guess what I’m really asking is has anyone  put a pro package in a stock shadow and used the stock shadow hammer instead of the Cajun race hammer and what was the result… before I experiment ,those hammer pins are a pain😎

Truth! Sorry I misunderstood your level of experience with the CGW parts and the extent of the question.
