Pros & Cons on the CZ P10-C

Looking to purchase a CZ P10-C and was wondering how many of you own one of these and your thoughts, good & bad, about it.

This thread is probably best placed in the polymer section, but I am a huge fane of the P10c.  Of the polymer striker guns I’ve had ( Glock, XD, M&P, 320) it’s in the top 2 FOR ME.

It simply fits my hands, is easy to present from concealment, accurate and reliable.  I liked it so much I got a P10S.  Of the 2 , I’d say get the P10c.  Not much is gained concealment wise IMO with the S over the C.

The other polymer striker gun I favor is the SIG P320 & it’s a toss up which I prefer in all honesty.

All that said, if you like the P10c, I see no reason not to get one and lots to get one- ergos, accuracy reliability cost.

Good luck & let us know your decision

For me, it has the best factory trigger of any striker pistol I tried up until about three years ago when I got it.  I compared Glock (of course), M&P, HK VP9, Canik, Sig P320.  I think the only one I didn't try was Walther.

Since then I kinda haven't bothered; I've been very pleased with the feel and overall shooting experience of the P10C.  The good ergos and relative ease of operation go on top of the trigger.  I recommend it.

I bought one that had a HBI Theta Trigger Kit in it when bought so I don't know how good it was with the OEM trigger but it is a real sweet gun and the trigger is the cat's meow. My buddy who's been a firearms instructor for a zillion years says it the best trigger he's ever pulled.

I own the P10S, but since the only major difference are the dimensions, I think I can comment readily enough -

When you think of a P10 series gun, you are essentially wanting to get a Glock (i.e. a striker fired polymer pistol, probably without a safety) but are looking for a reason to get something else instead.

So, comparing it to a Glock 19 (which the P10C analogues), you can summarize it as

Pros

- better trigger out of the box
- just as reliable as a Glock
- has a 1913 rail so potentially more accessories
- has better sights out of the box

Cons

- less aftermarket products available
- Glocks have the mystique of being the most reliable semi-auto available
- 2 oz heavier

You can see the cons are rebuttable, primarily because this is a CZ forum, LOL, in the sense that you need less aftermarket products when the product is better out of the box. Also, the mystique of Glock reliability is well earned but hardly exclusive to it. Finally, if you can really feel and show you can perform that much better because of a 2oz difference. I have a stack of mattresses I'd like to sell you, your highness. =)

I own a p10c,s, and f.

The one thing I don't like (hate) is the slide lock.  It is placed exactly where my thumb wants to be and they always get in each other's way.

I carried a Glock 19 for a long time.  Then one day I decided to try something different and thought this CZ P-10C looked pretty good, I really like their bolt-action rifles.  Well. I haven't shot the Glock since I bought the CZ.  And now there's a second P-10C, a P-10S, and a P-10F in .45.  I really really like all of them.  I bought a HBI Theta trigger but have not felt like the factory triggers have needed replacing.  Much much more comfortable in my hand than Glocks.

I do have some complaints.  I would like to have some sight options but all there is out there is fiberoptic.  I would love to see the Vickers sights from Wilson Combat that I have on all my Glocks.  And CZ's lack of extra magazines is terrible.  I found some good used ones for the P-10C and some new spares for the 10S but .45 spares for the 10F are unobtainable.  I need them to change that soon.

And,I REALLY wish the P-10C came in .40.  There are hints and references around the internet but apparently it never happened.  Now that would be a HECK of a gun.

CZ: Better trigger face than a glock, better grip angle (I have carpel tunnel and the harsh angle of the glock grip hurts just looking at it), smoother trigger, lighter pull, less blocky and plasticy than a glock, better sights, more accurate for beginners. Less aftermarket support, more expensive.

I agree with what most of the others have said. Great pistol. I'd take it (and have) over the other similar types of guns. I think the totality of it is better. Better trigger, better ergonomics, etc. As mentioned about the only downside is a smaller aftermarket than some of the others.

I highly recommend handling one before buying. I bought mine on line shortly after they came out. The trigger was horrible. It took a bit of work to find out why and fix it. On line buyer beware.

I have 2 C's and an F. I carry one all day every day and compete with one every week.  I rarely shoot any of my other pistols.

I find it to be pretty much perfect for my needs..... I added extended mag release from HB industries as well as their theta trigger shoe.... I am running the stock striker spring.  Have 3 c's and an f.... love the platform.. carry it everyday in a tier 1 concealed axis elite aiwb

I have Glocks, Sig 320s and recently acquired a Walther PDP.  All are good pistols.

I also have a P10 that CZ Custom installed an HB trigger in as well as doing a bit of other work.  The Glocks and Sigs have all had some trigger work done on them.

The CZ is on par with the best of all of these.  The ergos for my hands are near perfect (the new PDP grip is a tick better for me).

You will not go wrong with a P10  (but you will not go wrong with the others as well - just a matter of what works better in your hands).

Took my P10 S to the range yesterday as I plan on making it my fishing and woods pistol carry and keeping it loaded with flat nose ammo. We don’t have anything bigger than black bears here so a good accurate 9mm is (probably) what you need; Plus, 100° in the summer is no joke and every ounce of surface area counts. It holds up to 15 with an extension, has an HB trigger and is fairly lightweight. I don’t shoot it often but I was keeping as good or better groups at 8 yards with my P365 XL that has a red dot on it. It shoots way flatter than the Sig, is easier to get back on target, has less recoil, no slide riding and feels better in the hand, though after a handful of mags the CZ +2 extension does pinch your right hand ring finger. I think a light callous would develop from regular shooting which would make it unnoticeable so I’m not too concerned. I’m not trying to make a comparison post between the two guns, one is much easier to carry but for me, one is the better shooter for hitting a charging predator from a (hopefully) distance.

Owned 2 of the P10 Fs and have shot a C a bunch

Pros: For me it has one of the best Striker triggers out of the box, Great Ergos, including great factory stipple/checkering, Accurate pistol

Cons : Both of my Fs had issues feeding.. one simply would not feed factory Flat nose FMJ and both were occasionally finicky with round nose FMJ. I changed out magazine springs and polished the feed ramp...but still would  have issues from time to time
