A couple of years ago the wife and I took an 8 hour
Defensive Handgun Training course from
Tatiana Whitlock. She recommended the
Dark Angel Medical Pocket D.A.R.K. Mini trauma kit or at least their
Rapid Application Tourniquet System. Her arrival bag had coupons for them and other products she endorses.
https://darkangelmedical.com/pocket-d-a-r-k-mini-trauma-kit/She wore hers on her belt (small of back) the entire time during the class.
I was the only one in the class who also had a kit, a bigger one than hers, but left it in my truck which was parked conveniently close to the Police Training range that we were on. I bought mine at a gun show and it doesn't have a company's name on it, but looks a lot like this:

It came with a
Blast Bandage in it (
not shown in the example), highly recommended for stopping bleeding of large wounds.

I've added a scalpel and surgical shears to my kit. My hemostat is too long to fit in the camouflage container. I'd like to find a shorter one to fit in it.
Update: I found a shorter hemostat that fits at a gunshow! Here is a link to a write-up by her on why she recommends having one with you:
https://tatianawhitlock.com/on-demand-survivalWe have a much bigger first aid bag which we carried to softball and soccer games when our kids were playing.
Luckily we only ever had to deal with scrapes, minor cuts and bruises.
