upgrades what’s limit on upper recoil spring weights.

I’ve Installed spring upgrade kit.   
New CGW race hammer with sear spring upgrades etc.

Issue is recoil spring weight.
Factory was really light spring.
CZ says 13# OE recoil spring weight. Dropping from factory mainspring to CGW 13# required moving up recoil poundage.
14# CGW put the Hornady 135gr critical duty at 10 ft and the 124gr custom at 12ft. All standard load. I don’t like +P.

Tried 15# Wolff spring, and it still hasn’t Changed ejection distance, and racking slide feels like it dragging/sticking on the locking lugs so afraid to go up any more in poundage even though still getting frame battering on recoil (slide hits solid on frame during recoil)
Factory spring way to light to use with the lighter mainspring from the CGW upgrade kit.

Suggestions?

Probably gonna call CGW tomorrow see what they advise.

I can definitely feel when the slide impacts the forward section of the frame.

Also any idea why the CGW extended firing pin would cause double firing pin strikes on hornady ammo but not cheap stuff?

I got hold of David at CGW.
On primer He said it’s primer swipe. Which is normal.

On the springs he said since increasing spring weight isn’t shortening ejection distance it’s most likely result of strong grip.
He said he same way and basically has a vice grip and if I loosened the grip it’d probably drop ejection distance but as long as it’s within 10-12 feet it’ll be good.
So I’ll probably stay with 15# recoil spring.
May experiment with looser grip locking wrist.

Depending on the model of your CZ, Wolff Gunsprings sells recoil springs up to 22 lb for full size pistols, 22 lb for compact pistols, and 20 lb for long slide pistols.  They are available in affordable calibration packs that include a range of spring weights.  Feel free to experiment.

Not sure why recoil spring weight would impact performance of locking lugs.

A new spring will be stiffer than one that has taken a set.  Thus, it's probably best not to judge performance "right out of the box."
