Defense Combat Compact:  https://www.italianfirearmsgroup.com/tanfoglio/detail/compact/

is it worth getting?

If this is the size of Pistol you want, then YES. My opinion, FWIW.

is it a cooy of cz75 safety?

It's a bit different in that the Safety may be engaged with the Hammer Down, whereas the Cz75 does not allow that.
Otherwise, it does allow for Cocked and Locked carry as a Cz75 does.

The cool thing about the steel frame lineup from IFG is that you can purchase almost all of them in small or large frame variation. The ones from EAA are almost always large frame variants except for their polymer pistols. Other differences between CZ and Tanfoglio pistols are the mag release spring and trigger bar spring setups are different (Tanfoglio has the better design in my opinion) and you don’t have the annoying firing pin retaining pin to replace/remove to be able to pull the firing pin out. To remove the firing pin on a Tanfoglio all you have to do is push the firing pin in with a punch or similar tool and slide the back plate off. Personally I prefer Tanfoglio over CZ.

Same here, and I own both Cz's, Tanfoglio, and Tanfoglio based Pistols.

I've always been more of a CZ guy, but the Tanfoglios are really starting to impress me.  I agree with the FPRP on the CZ B models being inferior for maintenance, and the Tanfos are just more resilient to dry firing.  The magazine release on the Tanfo is just awesome.  I still really like CZ, especially the Shadows and the SP-01T, but the Tanfo checks a lot of the boxes too. 8)

It's a pity that Tangfolio/Sarsilmaz models don't have decocker setup, I'd buy one.

Yup. Other than being hard to find ones I want this is why I haven't gotten one yet

One of the primary reasons that I like them is the frame mounted safety and the fact that I can carry them cocked and locked.  Though a decocker setup has no appeal to me, I wouldn't mind if they expanded their line.

Overall, it seems that the Tanfoglio pistols are less common on the market than they were and the prices relative to their competition is up.

I’m a thumb safety guy too. I wonder if it’s maybe just a cost thing or lack of demand as to why Tanfo doesn’t offer a decocker model. Also, I believe EAA stopped selling the Tanfoglio line so, as far as I know, there’s only one US outlet, IFG (Italian Firearms Group) out of Amarillo, Texas.

Well apparently IFG raised the prices and dropped most of the base offerings.  I just searched and could find just one base compact for sale.

At $677, you can get a Beretta 92 compact or a CZ75 compact for less.  The one pictured above for $500 was definitely a good deal by comparison.

Yeah, I feel like the base model offerings from IFG are overpriced but they’re high-end pistols seem decently priced for what you get. One I’m really interested in, especially if they make a compact version of it, is the new polymer framed Force ESSE 9mm. It’s Tanfoglio‘s introduction into the striker fired market. They’re not terribly fancy lookin but I’m a Tanfo fan.

Yes, EAA has dropped the Tanfoglio line, in favor of their Girsan line.  As supply of all Tanfoglio models is currently running low, we should all wait and see where the trends on pricing will go.
The Italian Economy, in general, is in dire straights.  A lot of Companies make foolish decisions, when desperation sets in.  Sad, really!  :(

Very sad/dark times indeed. But I think we all know who and what causes that. On a totally unrelated subject, I sure hope people vote more than ever in the upcoming elections… :-[
