10mm CZ (97?)
« on: August 29, 2022, 10:08:15 AM »
With the apparent increasing popularity of the 10mm cartridge is it not time for CZ to release possibly a 97 in that cartridge.  If that happened I would be all over it!   :)

The 97 has been discontinued, so that's not going to happen. That's not to say there wouldn't be some other model in 10mm at some point, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

The CZ shop in Kansas built a 10mm model years ago. Even posted vids. Looked great. Hopes were high, but yeah that is a ship that’s sailed. CZ seems to love standing at the dock and waving for some reason. Been looking at the latest SIG P320 or Springfield XD to scratch the itch. Not going to sell my 97, but it would have been nice to keep the same platform.

If anything I would bet a P-10 in 10mm.

Niche market. Compared to sales of 9mm, 45ACP, and even 40S&W. 357SIG is the same.

Yeah I think CZ is focusing more on 9mm and calibers which sell worldwide. Don't see it happening but who knows maybe at some they'll do a limited run with the P10F in 10mm like they did with .45 acp.
