CZ 75B Mcarbo take up
« on: September 04, 2022, 01:00:31 PM »
Got a second hand 75B that has a Mcarbo kit already installed. The amount of take up is way too much, especially in comparison to a new P01. Trigger feels good otherwise. Any clue as to how to fix it, without ordering a bunch of parts?

Short of adding a CGW reach reduction kit and short reset kit there's zero you can do for it. The Mr. Carbo kit is just springs I think and they won't reduce take up in any form. This is the nature of da/sa pistols and being service grade models some can be worse than others.

I understand how the reach reduction kit could help. How will the reset help the pre-travel?

Take up on the CZ75 can vary quite a bit. I had a couple that were at least an 1/8" more than several of my others.  Luck of the draw sometimes, and they were sold.

The short reset parts will reduce the reset distance in single action. No it won't help with the double action pull but I have found it's best to just buy the full kit and do it right from the start otherwise you eventually end up buying the parts singularly and adding them later anyway.
I've added the full CGW Pro Package to all my CZ's and it's the most effective way to get the trigger feel your looking for.

I started upgrading with just a few parts ,then added more , then more to get this best trigger. Now I just put Cajuns. Pro package in all my cz’s ..done and done!

I talked to CGW and they made your same recommendations. Nice job. Thanks.
