Teaser pic...

Yes, it is a terrible pic but I didn't have it long - it is in the hands of a very cool friend who is donating a scope to this endeavor.
First take away - FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO INSERT THE BOLT! As weird as it sounds, you cannot just put the bolt in like any other bolt action rifle - it has to be cocked to go in correctly. An uncocked bolt will not close all the way. The manual says insert the bolt backwards to recock the bolt if it is uncocked. That is LITERALLY what they mean, even though the image is unclear, put the back end, the plastic part, in the channel, and rotate. It will start to disassemble as it is designed. Rotate back to reassemble and the strike will be cocked.
The trigger is adjustable, thankfully - it is set on feather light. I think a good stuff breeze would fire it! But it is designed with a stock 4 positions to choose from.
The whole thing feels MUCH lighter than I thought it would, and shoulders very well. I also wasn't sure about the odd looking pistol grip, but it feels quite natural. I am used to traditional "pistol grips" on rifle stocks, so this is a new one for me.
Looking forward to getting her back and starting barrel break-in and sight in - the gent who is helping me is a police and military sniper, so, nothing less but full proper milspec barrel break-in will do...which I have NO idea how to do, but I will be learning...whenever I get it back...stay tuned.
