Older PCR vs Newer Production
« on: September 12, 2022, 08:52:26 PM »
New guy dumb question #2

Looking online and locally for PCR or P01. Neither are to be found at my local gun stores.

Question is…is there anything (good/bad) for older production models (2016 and older) versus newer production models?

Thanks for any feedback.

KYGunco and Impact Guns both have PCR's in inventory. I had a 2015 P01 and a P06 from 2010 I think. No issues with either of them. If you buy an older pistol the tritium sights may be dead or ending their useful life.

On the surface the older models appear identical to the newer versions. My 2009 PCR has a slightly different firing pin block plunger than my 2021 versions. I think CZ has incorporated more mim parts in the newer models such as the sear cage and the trigger bar. I know some kitchen table engineers sneer at that but done right it's an effective and quality process. My new models are just as accurate and reliable as the old model.
