For the longest time, I think the common way of looking at the safety vs. decocker CZ75s was that it was easier to get a better trigger on the safety versions compared to the decocker versions. I know CGW makes  decocker pro packages nowadays. But for someone who has both decocker and safety 75's with modded internals, what has the better trigger? Or are both versions equal now in comparison to trigger pulls?

This subject has been covered on this forum exhaustively for years. That being said, equal.

Done both and the triggers turn out almost identical, little more travel with fireing pin block but not enough to notice in fast fire

Cajun gun works also has a video on their YouTube channel addressing this topic as well.  They also conclude that there is no substantial difference b/w the two post pro-package install.

Skip to 1:12 for the question. It has some interesting info on the differences b/w sear cages of various models as well.

I'm glad CGW pointed out the decocker cage is more stable due to the sear pin across the frame.   That makes a difference in consistency I think.

I've preached b/bd model 75 variants can both be tuned the same for a while.

The biggest advantage is the shadow and ts models without a firing pin block have a shorter reset.  I'm still waiting for cz to come out with a decocker shadow 2.

Cheers,
Toby

They'll never make a decocker model without a firing pin block.

Why not?  It aligns with the competition rules and that is the largest market for the Shadow 2 lineup.  It seems that they would want to give every advantage for competitors.  There isn't anything inherently unsafe about it.

Please forgive me if these are silly questions ...
(1) These observations apply to the P07 as well, correct?
(2) What specifically would make the safety version have a better trigger than the decocker version?  That little spring?
Thanks in advance.

I don't own a p series cz so I cannot comment on tuning but I do believe they are a different animal over the 75 variants.

Toby
