First rounds through a .223 Trail using an old Aimpoint that was available for this limited shoot at 25 yards. Used some old Winchester 5.56 as didn’t have .223 on hand. Yes, .223 is recommended for long term shooting by the CZ store associates although 5.56 can be occasionally used.
Shot standing and crouched over with elbows resting on lane shelf and body braced against lane wall. Initial aiming point at red center of target bullseye.
First two rounds impacted at the bottom of the target page, well off the bullseye. Elevation adjustments were made after each round. Rounds 3 and 4 enter target rings at 6 o’clock. Made a “bold elevation adjustment” for 5th round which went high. Dialed elevation down for 6th round and still impacting slightly high of center.
For last four rounds, shifted aiming point to 6 o’clock of the bullseye and obtained 4-shot cluster. Rifle handled very nicely in the hands and minimal cheek weld on collapsible stock was surprisingly comfortable for me. That was a very satisfying, limited shoot with this rifle.
