Hello All,

I need to get organized. I was checking something tonight and realized I couldn't find the recoil rod for my CZ Kadet conversion kit [not Kadet II, but Kadet].

From some pictures I've found, I think I can figure out most of the dimensions. However, I am not getting a clear image of the back of the spring stop of the recoil rod. I know some guns have a perfectly flat disk that serves as the stop, and is wedged against the barrel lower lugs.

I have seen others with a 'nub' or some other characteristic designed to set into a lip/divot/groove of the lug and help keep it from slipping around. I think this uses a 'nub', but some pics would be great- especially if it is with something for a reference to the size [spring maybe?]

I haven't given up hope of finding mine, but I am preparing for the possibility that I may need to manufacture a replacement [since I can't find spares].

Any tips would be appreciated!

Good news is: I’ll get some pics  and measurements.

Bad news is: it’ll be a day or 2.

Way back in the day someone sold a SS replacement on eBay. Did a quick look, but nothing there.

Thank you!

I looked here and eBay- with same results.

Thanks for being willing to dig this out and take some pics/measurements. I appreciate it- whenever you can get to it!

I can't get to the range for a few weeks anyway, so that gives me time to try to find or make a new rod. Or, I can use something else that trip as I work through figuring out a fix for this.

Thanks again!

Thank you!

This is excellent detail!

I took a risk and ordered a recoil rod for a Kel-Tec that looks like it is close. I am hoping it is close enough I can modify it to fit these dimensions, and then I'll have the advantage of a steel rod instead of plastic.

Were these rods always plastic?

My kit is from 2002, i believe. I am not near it, but think that is right.

Thanks again!

UPDATE: [I didn't want to 'necropost']

I bought the custom guide rod from Shepard Tactical Supply. I gave them the dimensions and they were able to make one. I was based on the KelTc P3AT guide rod design.

It works nicely.  Just thought I'd share, and thank those who gave me the pictures and dimensions!!!!
