New to me Kadet kit
« on: November 26, 2022, 08:11:23 PM »
Got lucky and found a Kadet II kit for sale somewhat local and didn't hesitate to pick it up. Had time for 50 rounds today and it was a blast. Had multiple failure to fire but this is a fully Cajunized SP-01 Tac host so I was kind of expecting that. Will probably find a reg 75 to use as a host at some point

Awesome, sounds like you lucked out on that find.
The 75 SA makes a killer host, can tune it up and it’s still likely to have a strong enough hammer strike to set off about anything.
Absolutely love my pair.

Thanks for the SA host suggestion, I'll have to keep my eye out for one.

Can threaded barrels be sourced from anywhere?

Congrats and enjoy your Kadet. Like GBUS said a 75SA frame makes a great host for the kit. I have the SP01 Kadet on a SA frame. In the meantime you might want to up the weight of your hammer spring for less failure to fire. If you live in a state where you can order a frame CZ Customs has this https://czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-pistols-factory/cz-75-parts-kit-frame.html

Ordered a 75B today to put the Kadet kit on, figured might as well get the whole gun for the price of the CZ Custom lower.

I'll swap it over to SAO once I get it in

Good idea!!
It is an easy switch to SA.
For shooting 22lr, the lack of longer beaver tail is less impacting.

Just got a SP-01 Adapter 22 Kit.  Shot it for first time this AM.  No malfunctions what so ever.  50 shots fired 47 in 10 or X ring at 30 ft.  The rest  were my fault. This is with Remington Golden 22 Ammo which is not Ely 10X.  Really impressed with the quality. Host was a SP-01 Tactical.

I have two and enjoy them both. A Kadet II and a SP01 Kadet.

Redhemi,
What front sight did you install.  Do not like the factory one and have not found a fiber optic that fit.

On the SP01 I used this https://czcustom.com/cz-new-fo-f-s-1-0x7-5mm-x-125.html and the Kadet II it is different but can't remember what brand but the one on the SP01 should work.
