Shorter slide stop for PCR/ P01?
« on: November 27, 2022, 11:18:13 AM »
I love my PCR & P01 Omega.  However the slide stop pin length ( the part that secures the slide to the frame) extends out of the frame enough to not fit the IDPA box for CCP.

So Q is: can one use a slide stop from a full size 75b series or is there a shorter length slide stop available?

I believe I understand why the length extends beyond the frame- for ease of removal, but can use a tool to mitigate the reduced length.

Thoughts?

The notch in the 75B Slide stop for the Slide Stop Spring is in a slightly differnt location on the slide stop shaft. The foot that contacts the Magazine follower for last round hold open is shorter on the 75B Slide Stop. These inconsistencies are due to the frame thickness differences in the steel and Alloy framed CZ 75 variants.

I take it that due to competition regulations modifying the factory Slide Stop is not an option?
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

The slide stops that Cajun Gun Works sells now for the PCR is the same one as the P-01 slide stop, I think it's the same one for the p-01 omega too. It doesn't stick out the side and the thumb part is a little longer so it's easier to reach with the thumb. Unfortunately, they seem to be out of stock again.

No, was looking for the easy way to solve this problem :D

Thanks for answering the Q on why the 2 versions are not compatible- thought it was something like that.

I’ll check it out- thanks for the tip.  Will compare the PCR and my P01 Omega slide stops and see if it may solve the problem.
