Can You Do The Decock/Safety Switch On A Pre-Omega CZ75BD?

I have a CZ-75BD Police that I bought in late 2012. It does not have the Omega trigger. Would it have to have the Omega trigger in order to switch out from decocker to safety?

Hah, I think I'm understanding now.

You mean the Omega trigger system in the frame, not just an Omega trigger.  Ignore my post in the other thread.

Thanks friends. I was just curious if it was possible. I'll stick with decock for both guns. I had a full size 75 with the Omega in about 2013 or 2014 but I sold it. I just didn't like the way the trigger felt. Forgive me if that is blasphemy. The 75BD and P-01 are my only CZ's, I need to just go out and shoot them more (once it stops snowing).

Not shooting because the snow is deep and cold or because you would lose the brass and you reload?

A couple years ago I bought a box (100 rounds) of the 9MM ammo with aluminum cases (Federal I think) so I could shoot with the snow on and not worry about losing the empties (I do reload).  Never got around to shooting them yet.

The 75B Omega from that era is also not convertible from safety to decocker as they were safety only at that point. I'm not sure the exact year they changed but the more recent 75 series Omegas are convertible.

It would have to have the OMEGA SYSTEM AND be in a convertible gun.  No - if it is a standard CZ decocker, that is ALL IT CAN DO.
