In the process of modifying my 805 Bren to as nearly as possible close the latter model Czech 805 A1 carbine that takes STANAG mags. Looks like the 14" barrels have all dried up. So that leads me to consider having the barrel chopped down to 360mm. Also on my list is cerakote. This leads me to several questions...
1. Any leads on factory 14" barrels?
2. Anyone have any experience having the 16" barrel cut down? I'd loose the shoulder but based on pictures online, it doesn't look like the A1 models have shoulders anyway. I purchased the flash hider nut and a M14x1 compensator.
3. Anyone have any idea what color grey to cerakote the upper?
Happy to hear advice from anyone that has undergone something similar.
