I was unaware of SWFA until I recently found it by doing a google search for rifle scopes.  They seem to have very good pricing and availability.

my experience with them was horrible.  use bearbasin.com and save the money and anxiety.

It all depends on the brand name of the scope you want.
Last week I purchased a DOCTER 3-9x40 for $ 359.00 at
Natchez, and last month a Zeiss 3-9x50 (yes 50 mm) for
$ 439.00
Natchez is also very good with the Burris brand...but those sales sometimes last for a month or so. It varies w/ brand name and supplier.
 
Just keep watching the websites-sales ads and you may save a hundred $ or more on any particular model.
Oh, there is another by the name of skyoptics.com that also
have some good deals.
