I have a new .375 Safari American that I now have about 100 rounds through and am coming to truly love. I glassed the action and forward recoil lug as well as the trigger guard and bottom metal, adjusted the trigger, and started shooting. My only complaint is the forward sling stud protruding through the stock. I want it on the barrel where it belongs. To get a barrel band on the front sight must be removed. Is this difficult? Can anyone recommend someone to do the work? Will it be necessary to reblue the barrel and action?
While I'm on the subject, does anyone other than CZ make front sights that fit? I would really like a 3/32 ivory bead and CZ doesn't have one.
