527 On The Way

I reckon you could say I'm getting hooked on CZ firearms since I own 4 CZ pistols. ( A CZ-75, CZ-40 and a pair of CZ -83s ). Now I've got a CZ 527 in 7.62x39 on the way, should he here this week. A question about scope rings, I've ordered a set of Millet CZ 527 rings for this rifle, what about bases ? Is the receiver made to accept just the rings or are bases necessary. I've not seen bases listed for this rifle and I have to plead my ignorance as I've not had one of these rifles in hand to examine it. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

No base necessary: Receiver Dovetailed ( 16 MM). You will need medium rings to look over 527 Carbine sight available at CZ for $54 or at this link for $46

I have the 527 rings..but went for a B square
527 base,,weaver mount.

Now i used a armoured BEC scope 3x9 power.
sit pretty high..looks really good.

When i find a Burris at a good price..i'll use the
CZ rings.

Leave the scope off!  This is a short, handy, lightweight, close range rifle.... When I bought mine used I had to take off a 4-9x40 scope off of it and find a rear sight so that I could restore the rifle to what it is.

I hope you like mine as much as I like mine.   It is a sweet shooter...

And get a spare magazine.  It is real easy to run that mag dry with a short throw bolt :D

I appreciate the comments and info and bullsi1911 you're right, it's a short, hangy carbine and looks good as it is. It arrived yesterday and I'm impressed with the fit and finish and overall look. But my 47 year old eyes may need a scope to get the best out of it.
