My worst shooting plastic framed CZ (P07 9MM) still outshoots my SIG 2022 9MM.  Maybe my SIG isn't one of the good ones. ::)
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Personally I am not a Sig fan.  I do not like the more vertical grip angle.  I have a hard time shooting their firearms.  I will still with my P07.

Zero experience with CZ's polymer pistols but y'all are tempting me....

IF the the CZ poly mags were compatible with w/ metal framed CZs, I'd already own one to several.  Currently, my favorite polymer framed DA/SA is Sig's SP2022 that's effectively discontinued...  They dropped several hundred new production guns of this model in mid-2022 IIRC and after it was "discontinued" in 2020, but that was the first batch since ~2016 or so IIRC.

By the way it falls in the hand without the decocker bump of metal framed Sigs, I much prefer it.  And trigger is nearly, but not quite, equivalent to Sig SRT...

IIRC, the CZ length-of-pull (distance between backstrap and trigger at decocked and cocked) is also slightly longer than Sig's as well...

Both CZC and CGW offer reach-reduction parts that mitigate this issue...  ;)

And mags as an excuse?!?  Come on man, you can do better than that... I had 35-40 CZ 75 mags before I bought one polymer CZ, but did that stop me?  Nah.   8)

The P07 and P09 mags are cheaper now than they used to be.  Abought $10 less.  Low to mid $30's.

I need to jettison something before taking on another platform...  Already stocking over a dozen if not two dozen different pistol mag types and spare parts for various systems.

The reach isn't an issue for me -- more for the Mrs -- so was just noting.

The Sig SP2022 was my entry into modern production DA/SA late 2000s or early 2010s -- it was down to that and the CZ P07 or P09 (forget which specifically).  And I don't recall why specifically I choose the SP2022, but I think it was something to do with better value (more gun for the $ -- believe SP2022 was a benjamin or so cheaper when on sale), a better out-of-the-box trigger, and a more proven record of durability (either Border Patrol, Army Tank, or France put it through a torture test of something like 50k rounds IIRC).  The CZ polymer line had just launched -- and it was actually the Vz58 that brought me to Czech guns/CZs...  I *think* there might have been some early reports of some issues with the CZ polymer frames, but I could be mistaken.

As I've gotten older w/ more nagging hand and arm injuries, I have to concur...  Rapid fire, I'm shooting my Glocks better and my Sigs worse.  CZ and Beretta metal frames are still about the same w/ grip angle falling between these two.  Sigs still point much more naturally for me however.

Funny the SP 2022 came up.  My first DA/SA gun was the P99 - excellent guns, but I wanted to go hammer fired - I went SP 2022 because it seemed to have a very good OTB trigger and the trigger guard could easily take a gloved hand.  The P07 TG seemed to put my glove too low and ended up binding.  Later I got the P07 and decided to wear better gloves.  To me they shoot similarly.  IF YOU WORK ON THEM, the P07 is capable of a better trigger, but OTB the SP 2022 is usually better.

IF the the CZ poly mags were compatible with w/ metal framed CZs, I'd already own one to several.
Early on there were compatibility issues between P-07/P-09 magazines and the P-10 series.  All that is in the past now as for the last several years the P-10 magazines include the necessary notches to mate up with the current P-10s with reversible mag release, the early P-10Cs with ambidextrous mag releases, and the P-07 and P-07 all the way to the early P-07 Duty.

The P-07 also works with any CZ 75 magazine.  They fit a little sloppy from side to side but they latch in the right place and feed just fine.

75 magazines will not fit the P-09 (the mag baseplate hits the bottom of the grip before the notch reaches the mag latch) nor do they work in any version of the P-10.

Great info.  Thanks!  (But my wife won't thank you... ;D )

The CZ P-07 seemed to fit the bill, so I bought one yesterday, cleaned it, and took to the range this morning. Wow! What an amazing gun. The DA trigger was smooth, and despite having never shot that specific gun or any CZ ever before, it was like I had owned it for years.

If you like the P07 that much, then my advice is to not try a P10c.

You might not want to leave the range !   O0

Is there any kind of consensus that the p10c is better than the p07?

I would say neither is better than the other. One is striker fired and the other is DA/SA or SAO.

My take is it also depends on intended purpose.  I have a P10c&s and a P09.  As stated different guns & I have used them in my IDPA games.  For me, I’d like a P07 for carry as I like the DA action in a carry gun.

Just put my first 300 rounds through my brand new OD green P07 and I love it. It shoots every bit as good as my P10 . Infact , while it pains me to say this , I shot as good or better than my cajunized P01 right out of the box

As others have said, there is no way to say which one is better.  It's all a personal choice between action types, ergonomics, concealability, etc.

I have both, and I have a hard time deciding which one I like best.
