Looking for guidance
« on: April 04, 2023, 04:56:38 PM »
Hello CZ100 fans, I have recently come into a lightly used 100 9mm. I am looking for guidance on modifications, spare mags, and other misc parts for it. I have already put around 300 rounds through it, and other than the trigger pull I have zero complaints. Any input would be much appreciated.

Good afternoon and welcome to the (rare) club!

To be perfectly honest, there's really not a lot concerning modifications and accessories on them.

The light rail is proprietary and the mount/light combo that CZ made for it is practically impossible to locate.

As you can tell, the front sight is integral to the slide just like early Berettas, and I was able to convince Stuart and the gang at CZ Custom to mill a front dovetail for night sights on mine. Not sure if they'd be willing to take up that type of endeavor again, but you can always ask. All they can do is say no! My grip stippling was done by a friend down in Florida when I lived there.

I acquired  the majority of my spare mags from Numrich Gun Parts in New York, and they may also be the go-to for spare parts. I haven't checked for anything in a while concerning mags and parts, as I (finally) stopped carrying mine a long time ago but still break it out every time I and friends shoot at my backyard range, and also I'm teaching new shooters differences in trigger types, pulls, etc.

Specific holsters will be another difficult item to find, and when I did use mine for EDC it usually rode in a leather IWB from Winthrop Holsters meant for my Glock 19 or CZ P-07 Duty, later replaced by a minimalistic Kydex IWB from a company in Israel on eBay years ago.

Hopefully that helps a little bit, and perhaps others will chime in with some good info.

By the way, Cyanide is the forum specialist on the 100. In fact pretty much the only one that owns one. [emoji85][emoji86][emoji87]

Thank you gentlemen, I appreciate the feedback. I knew getting into this one I was getting into a curio. I couldnt pass it up as it only had about 100 rounds through it, and only costed me $140. I knew the owner, who bought it new around 2009/2010. I am mainly looking for mags, and holster, so Cyanide was most helpful. Thanks gents!
