Did they Change the Frame/Dustcover on the TS2 Racing Green?
« on: April 22, 2023, 10:26:53 AM »
I just pickup up a used TS2 Racing Green.  I've tried two holsters and neither fit, the pistol is too wide.  I emailed back and forth with the folks at Black Scorpion and he sent me some pictures of their TS2 RG, and it looks different.  I called CZ with the serial number and confirmed that mine was a TS2 RG.  Please see the pictures below and offer me some guidance.  Mine does have a CZC barrel and aftermarket grips, but the frame/dustcover seems more bulbous on mine.  Hopefully, I can post these pictures properly.

Can't really tell anything from the pics...but I've got a TS2 Racing Green and ordered the holster from Black Scorpion (specifically for the green) and it fits well....however I recently purchased another TS2 from the "configurator" off of CZ Custom and had them mill it for an optic...finally got my holster from Red Hills Tactical, and if fits the new one fine (different thumb rest) but will not fit the green as the green's gas pedal is too wide...oh well...will be following this to see if you get resolution...good luck!

I have a 9mm TS2 RG and the dust cover is the smaller thinner variation of the dust cover.  This is very interesting.

This weekend I took this gun to Red Hill Tactical's open house.  Bob, the proprietor seemed stumped when he saw it and mentioned that it may have been made for the CZ shooting team and wasn't supposed to be available for purchase.  Does that sound likely to anyone?  He did give me some tips on how to refit the holster and I'm in business now, but I would still like to understand why my gun is so different.

Quite odd indeed. Just tagging in to see what comes of this.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I think Red Hill Tactical could be on to something!  I have a Race Green and it does NOT look like yours.  Did you also notice your barrel is not coated (what appears to be) stainless steel while the other barrel is black, as is mine.  If you follow CZC they create CZs with oversized dust covers such as the A01LD.  The increased weight of the dust cover aids in recoil management.  It would be interesting to know the vertical and horizontal dimensions of your gun as well as the weight.  Could very well be you have a gun that wasn’t supposed to make it into the general populace.

That is downright bizarre. Can you post some clear pictures of frame and slide markings?
