Brazilian VZ-24-JC
« on: June 08, 2023, 02:39:45 PM »
Part of a group of rifles, (The Model JC, a reduced weight Vz24 with slimmer barrel and stock, and the stock notched for turned down bolt knob), purported to have been made for South China (1929-1930) and chambered in 7mm.

The PM05362.4 number is the Policia Militar inventory number. The story goes that the PM number on the rifle points to the rifle being 1 of 15,000 sold to Brazilian Revolutionaries during/for the 1932 Sao Paulo uprising by Czechoslovakia after the Chinese defaulted on payment for these rifles. The rifles never made it to the Revolutionaries instead being intercepted by government forces.

The bayonet is marked CSZ over C on the blade.

These rifles were not stored in the best of conditions and are hit or miss. Some are in pretty good condition, and some are pitted monstrosities. Regardless they are a part of history and are small in number, and I'm helping save history one gun at a time....
