Sight dovetails
« on: July 23, 2023, 10:39:51 PM »
Has anyone ever tried to use cz75 sights on a clone,  specifically the SAR B6?  I am just curious as to compatibility across the firearm brands, as I may have hit a snag with my Night Fision sights, and I am looking at keeping my options open.

This is all I've found on the subject:

That may just have to be my option to make some night sights work for me....either that or step back to glow paints..... :-\

And to let anyone understand what I am having happen with my Night Fision sights.....

I have had them mounted for approximately 2 months already, with zero problems from the sights.  No dimming, no problems seeing them, VERY happy with their product.

Then I finally took the B6 out to the range this last weekend, and shot somewhere around 150-180 rounds out of the pistol.  Everything worked as it should on the range, next day nothing seemed untoward with the sights, and happened to need to check out a noise on the Tuesday night following.....only to grab the B6 and have no front sight picture in the dark.  Rear dots worked/working fine, just nothing from the front.  Didn't drop gun, didn't impact the sights (I know this can be a killer for tritium sights....XS replaced their front sight on my mistake with that learning experience-dropped the pistol on a tile floor); nothing that should have done any damage to the tritium tube in the sight on my B6......  Did the email/pic sent in to Night Fision, and have yet to hear back from them at all, even with a second email to request an update on the decision process for them.....

My experiences with other firearms companies have been stellar, to say the least.  This one.....not so much.  And I am regretting (as of this moment in time) what I purchased.  They are still killer DAY sights, but very expensive day sights.....

Well, I may just be expecting something in too much of a hurry.  Night Fision has sent me confirmation via email of a replacement front sight coming my way.  Different companies handle things differently,  and that is the situation here.

Now, I just need to settle down, and wait for things to shake out.

Yup! When you get focused on solving a problem or making a modification, waiting on additional parts can be a bit frustrating.
Just focus on something else for a bit and get back to it when you can.
We look forward to reading about it, when you make further progress.
