Shadow disconnector in a cz 75 pre B?
« on: August 28, 2023, 01:16:44 AM »
Has anyone installed a shadow disconnector in a classic pre b cz 75?

If so were there issues?  What are the expected results,  I am trying to plan improvements to the pre B without losing the spur hammer or change to looks of the gun.  Does anyone know if the adjustable sear would help me if I don't plan on changing the hammer?

Thx in advance.

I think the CGW adjustable sear is to help overcome a hammer change by adjusting for the different sear position caused by a change in the hammer vs adjustment to affect trigger pull feel or force.

The thumb safety may not be able to rotate into position relative to the factory sear after a hammer change.  The alternatives are removing metal from the cam on the left side safety lever shaft or buying/installing/adjusting a CGW adjustable sear.  I've done both and the adjustable sear take a lot of time, effort and frustration off the table.  Not to mention that if you make a mistake and remove too much metal off that safety cam you'd have to locate and buy a new Pre B safety.  Those may be hard to find these days.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I haven't done this but if you are looking to reduce the reach of the trigger I don't believe a stock S2 disconnecter will do this. If you are wanting to reduce the trigger reach both CZC and CGW makes a reach reduction sear that will fit in a pre b model. As for an adjustable sear as said you would only need one if you are going to change the hammer to a CZC or CGW hammer.
