I've not ever seen a factory PCR that didn't have the lci. CZ Custom does remove it when they do their Pro-Tek custom versions.

 After removing it , can it be shot without it and function fine ?

You can shoot it without the lci and it will funstion just fine. I've done it with mine. When CZ Custom does the Pro-Tek version they close the hole up I assume by welding and they also machine the rib on top of the slide smooth.
