Tell me about this stainless CZ 75B
« on: September 13, 2023, 10:14:27 AM »
Hello, new here.  I've thought about getting a CZ 75 for years but never pulled the trigger.  A matte stainless one just came up for sale locally (see link below for pic) and I'm thinking about it, but wanted to ask the B & B some questions.  What can you tell me about this particular variation?  The sights are obviously aftermarket (or are they) but what can you tell me about them?  Does max. $600 OTD seem reasonable (for the gun and 3 mags)?

Thanks for any info.

p.s.  How do you insert pics in your post?  "Insert image" isn't working for me, or I don't know how to work it.

Sights and grips are aftermarket. Externally looks to be in decent shape. If it's in good shape overall $600 is a very reasonable price.

PS - Factory sights are nothing special. They are certainly functional and if you wanted to get some they are not much $. Same with grips, I like the factory rubber grips for the 75.

I can't think of it right now but this particular him had a designation. It's not called matte stainless. It's a combination. I had one a few years ago. The sights should be very good. The price is pretty much what was asked pre pandemic off you could find one at all. Overall, it's just like a regular 75B with the fancy steel finish.

That is what was called a "Limited Edition" by some, or a "New Model" by others.

Back in 2017 I bought mine for $735.

It's a good shooter.

How’s the trigger ? Mine was 700 new in 2008 and the trigger was like glass , smothered trigger of any Cz I ever bought. All I did was change grips , sights and good to go. 600 sounds good

Just an update:  That gun was posted on the shop's website late Tuesday and they close at 6:00 pm, opened at 8:30 Wednesday.  By 9:30 it had sold.  Oh well.

It first came into the USA market as the Limited Edition in late 2008. The first run had Limited Edition roll marked on the slide. Most had the standard black rubber grips although some had deep red cocobolo grips and tritium sights. It was redone and became the New Edition with the cocobolo grips as standard. The Limited Edition roll mark was replaced by a conventional CZ 75B one. They generally have a better fit and finish and I think that combination of matte SS on the rounds with the brushed/ground SS on the flats is the prettiest finish for a CZ 75. Discontinued in 2020.

sorry, but you snooze, you lose.

If you are going to get into toys, you may want to educate yourself on them or at least what you  may want to buy now and in the future.

that way you wont have to post some question on such things and watch it walk away - again.

if i didnt have one already, that gun would not have been on the shelf after i saw it.

at one time, a nice used cz that had a price on it for 300+ would sit there.   Not in my book and now it wouldnt happen, but you live and learn.

good luck
