Stuck firing pin
« on: November 04, 2023, 05:22:47 PM »
Got a used green p01 a month or so back, went to try it today and nothing on the primers. Checked it out and the firing pin is stuck, looks like it is jammed on the roll pin, nudges maybe half a millimeter forward and doesn't stick past the slide at all.  This could be why everyone is wary of dry firing these things, I still plan in doing it after I replace the rill pin, ill update here when I do for any firing pin damage

I replaced the original Firing Pin Retaining Pin on all my CZs and use O rings when dry firing.

I learned about that from reading the link below.

I also use the o ring to protect the firing pin/ firing pin retaining pin.  It’s simple and cost effective protection
Like a midget at a urinal, I'll have to keep on my toes

Waiting for the OP's report and pictures.

I've heard of this problem, never had it on any of mine.  Just seen some damage to the roll pin when removed for other work (and replaced with a new one just to make me feel good.)
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I just don’t understand why CZ switched from a firing pin retaining plate, to a firing pin retaining pin on some of the pistols. That’s one of a few of my hangups with them.

I saw that thread while the gun was being shipped over, I wanted a green P-01 and a used one popped up on GunBroker for a pretty good price.  I shot it last weekend with a Kadet 2 kit and it shot fine, but I didn't find the 22kit better than my Ruger mkIV 22/45.  Yesterday I tried it and the FTF happened, I will get a picture in the morning, been a busy weekend

I will get a firing retaining pin ordered from CGW, and maybe lower strength springs.  They are only about 1.25 hours away from me, does anyone know if they have a store front to visit?  Is the 16lb recoil spring standard in these?  Mine is green and is flat
