Prague (December 18, 2023) ? Colt CZ Group SE (“Colt CZ”, the “Group” or the “Company”) hereby announces that on December 18, 2023, it executed an agreement with CBC Europe S.à r.l. (“CBC”) to purchase 100% interest in Sellier & Bellot a.s. (“Sellier & Bellot”).

Colt CZ shall acquire 100% of shares of Sellier & Bellot for the combination of the cash consideration in the amount of $350 million and a new issue of Colt CZ common stock leading to a 27–28% CBC’s stake in the share capital of Colt CZ Group post transaction. The final number of CBC shareholding in Colt CZ Group will be determined depending on the audited financial results of both companies for the year 2023. The acquisition will be financed through a combination of the Company's existing cash resources and debt financing. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval in various countries and is expected to close in the first half of 2024.

Jesus…and they just offered $1.75 Billion for Vista Outdoors. Hopefully, Colt-cz can swallow it all without going belly-up themselves, or letting their hotshot MBAs degrade the CZ brand itself.

From someone who would be that far up the mental/financial world ideology, the answer to us "lowers" would be :  Zeeeee, you zust can't understand.

In our world, if you can't afford it, you don't do it.  But they function on a completely different way of things there.....and part of that may just be to eventually wreck it all. 

But what do I know....history of the firearms world doesn't show aNyThinG like this.

Al Gore also claimed to have invented the internet, among other things, like producing a pseudo documentary that claimed the world was going to end @ 2016 because we were STILL USING fossil fuels (“Global Warming” - now known as “Climate Change”).

Al Gore is an idiot.

Just because Al Gore is an idiot, that doesn’t mean that companies can’t make bad business decisions, like spending too much money acquiring other companies, let their own QC and R&D slide, and end up going belly up…like Remington / Vista Outdoors…
