My X-grade CX 82 project
« on: January 14, 2024, 10:26:04 PM »
Stepped out of my comfort zone and picked up a X-grade CZ 82 to play with.

Step 1:  Ordered a spring kit and tore it down, replaced anything that looked too worn and successfully put it back together.

Step 2:  I am a hobby woodworker and made some cherry grips for it.

Step 3:  I stripped the finish and phosphate coating and using Mark Lee   Express blue took it through 8 cycles (until no rust formed when applying the bluing agent).  Overall I am pleased with this first attempt and although far from perfect, looks much better that where it started and will remain in my collection.

Nicely done.  You should pat the back of the grip maker, 😁.  Looks great.
