New P01 Owner - trigger questions
« on: January 20, 2024, 05:40:57 PM »
I have a couple of CZ’s. I run a SP-01 tactical in an amateur (maybe too generous) 3 gun matches. I absolutely love CZ’s. I finally found a new P01 (decocker) in my local gun shop. It’s on the … if I see one in the wild. Buy it. I’m a very avid paper shooter year around. I average a range trip once a week shooting both pistol and rifle. I feel I’m a pretty good shot. The P01 is very humbling from a shoot-ability and accuracy standpoint. I‘ve shot steel with the factory sights before moving to some Dawsons. I put a fiber front and blacked out rear on it. I took this to range and I’m having some accuracy issues I’m not used too. I thought I’d change my front fiber to yellow and take it back out. I want to use this in the CC rotation. I’m getting a lot of flyers in DA. I’ve known about Cajun for a while and Mcarbo too. Purchased from both. I notice what has been coined as a hitch on some YouTube searches as I progress the trigger back. I don’t want to replace the springs in pistol lighten incase I get to my legal issue. Any thoughts? I’m a P228 and Beretta 92 shooter too.

Making that first shot from DA can be a challenge and CZ's tend to be sprung heavy from the factory. You could continue to work with it and see if it smooths out over time and often they do.  Myself I have full CGW Pro Packages in all my CZ's including those I carry. They are all very smooth and consistent in trigger feel now and I'm not concerned in the least about any MYTHICAL legal issues. There are none.

I’m sorry I meant single action. I’ll have do more reading the trigger modifications, but thank-you for your opinion.
