My problem is with primers getting stuck in the Dillon primer pick up tubes not in the XL750's primer magazine. And yes I've been derelict in cleaning my primer pick up tubes so last night i pushed a Q-tip through all 13 of my small primer tubes. And there was a very small amount of greenish residue on the Q-tip after cleaning them. Then I decided to measure several brands of small pistol primers with a micrometer Federal, CCI, Winchester, and Fiocchi were all .175" to .1755" in diameter. The only difference I can see is many of the CCI primers have a very small burr or flashing around the open mouth of the primer. By holding one of the offending CCI primers with a pair of tweezers I got a measurement of .1765 at the burr I then removed the priming system from the press and found many small metal filings. I then examined several of the empty CCI primer trays and I found a few metal filings. I checked a few primers in each of my buddys 5 remaining bricks and they all looked okay. Maybe that one case of primers was made at the end of a shift on a Friday.
