Hello,
I have a Rami that had a reach reduction kit and a lightweight hammer installed by CGW while I was waiting for parts for them to fix a stripped out grip screw. I only fired it a couple times before that so never got to break it in properly. I got the Rami back and noticed how harsh and stiff the trigger was compared to my P01 so it t never saw much range time, I attributed this to low round count.
Fast forward a year or two and I’m looking to use the Rami again. During dry fire it’s nice and smooth and the DA is actually pleasant. The SA is nice as well but if you have any amount of pressure on the trigger while the gun cycles, the SA pull is very harsh, metallic and doesn’t want to budge without force. It wants you to take your hand completely off the trigger and give it a second or two to be ready to set itself back into normal smooth SA mode. I put a hundred or so rounds through it and dry fired a couple hundred more, cleaned it, lubed it and repeated the process with no better trigger.
I suspect this isn’t a break in issue and there is some kind of mechanical issue, possibly stemming from the CGW work/parts done on it.
Does anyone out there have the same experience and will this resolve itself by use, or am I making it worse by using it?
Thanks for any input
