I went back to the range early this morning, hoping to to beat the rain. Normally I would have waited until Thursday if I shot on Tuesday but I was afraid the range would be closed on Thursday if we got much rain today. First mistake.
I set up the camera gear and hung a sighter target for the P-10C with the Burris sight to see if I messed anything up going one click left to correct for going too far right on Tuesday. Intended to shoot 10 shots on the B-8C sighter, but the sight dot started blinking half way through! Don't try to shoot a pistol at 100 yards with a blinking red dot! And replenish your spare battery cache and carry it with you to the range. I didn't have a spare battery with me this morning. I thought I had a spare, but I didn't really check. Had to beat the rain, you know.
So I put the P-10C up and got out the P-10F with the 2 moa Holosun red dot. It was zeroed last year with AA 115 JHP ammo, so that is what I shot in it today. Made a one click up adjustment after the sighter target 10 rounds and blasted away at the B-8C target, then a B-6C target with the larger bullseye. The crisp 2 moa Holosun dot was good with both size bullseyes, with an edge in smallest group size going to the smaller bullseye size. But the larger bullseye was more pleasant to shoot at because I wasn't as critical of the dot location within the bullseye.
Overall a very good day with the P-10F at 100 yards, even with the poor trigger feel compared to my P-10C trigger. I recorded target video but bumped the focus ring after I was set up and rolling, so the video is too blurry to post. Another little error on my part today!!

What I learned--
I think the larger B-6C bullseye target is best for the Burris sighted pistols and that the smaller B-8C bullseye target is good for the crisp Holosun sighted pistols. This is pretty much what I concluded last year also. But, there isn't a large difference in results, just a slightly better result when the aim point diameter is a good match for the dot diameter.
I've got some work to do on the P-10F trigger. Might do that before next Tuesday. And replace the battery in the P-10C sight. And try not to shoot next to anyone shooting a .308 with a muzzle brake. And check the camera focus one last time before walking back to the shooting table. It all comes down to...quit worrying about beating the rain, just stay focused on the job at hand!
More next week.
