CZ 712 Issue.
« on: April 02, 2024, 08:01:30 PM »
Hello, I recently obtained a CZ712 Utility. I am new to Semi Auto shotguns so I’m looking some in-site into what im doing wrong. So I read the owners manual and I’m loading it up how it says but it seems after every shot I have to hit the Cartridge Drop Level for the following round to chamber.. even when I’m home trying to do it with snap caps it seems to be the same issue, the only way to load from the magazine tube is to hit the Cartridge Drop Level every single time. Am I doing something wrong? Please give me some info I want to enjoy this shotgun

Highly recommend calling CZ-USA.  The manuals for CZ shotguns stink (IMO).  They talked me through how it is supposed to work, to make sure function was correct.  In the end, because of what I have the 712 for (sporting clays), I just feed one in the chamber, close the bolt, and then manually put one in the tube.  I've never had issues with it not feeding that second round from the tube while shooting.
